A great opportunity with a lot of room for personal and professional development in a fast-growing company! As IT capabilities are expanding we are looking for a manager of our Data Engineering team. Recently we joined forces with Cramo, located in the Nordics. This implies that from this point onwards there will be virtual teams. Also for this position you will manage 3 people located in another country.

Your responsibilities will include

• Manage- and develop the team, consisting of 8 data engineers (incl. vacancies and Cramo), 1 data architect (vacancy) and 1 data steward (vacancy)
• Nuance: primarily you are a people manager. You are gifted to understand people and get the best out of them
• Contribute to (not own) the Data & Analytics strategy. You collaborate closely with the manager Business Analytics
• Assure adoption, implementation and optimization of the new Boels way of working (SAFE)
• Define- and implement KPI’s for your team, cascaded from the department KPI’s

As a manager Data Engineering you have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a general direction (like business engineering)
• At least 2 years of management experience
• Affinity- and understanding of data- and everything related to it
• Experience as data engineer or similar is preferred (no must)
• Experience with any agile way of working is preferred
• Soft skills, especially the ability to understand- and motivate people
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical issues to business language
• Fluent English in writing and speech (Dutch/German is nice to have)

Most of all you are a team player, know how to manage stakeholders on all organizational levels and understand politics in organizations.
